Director of Academic Affairs, The New School for General Studies
Assist the Dean with a variety of academic projects, including program review, new program development and implementation, faculty reappointments, new faculty orientation, and other academic matters as they arise.

Acting Chair, Department of Humanities, The New School
Supervised approximately one hundred part-time instructors in the fields of literature, art history, philosophy, and religion. Oversaw humanities curriculum for adult non-credit students and for students enrolled in an adult undergraduate liberal arts program. Approved course proposals, recruited new instructors and developed new courses, reviewed syllabi, edited catalog course descriptions, observed instructors in the classroom, monitored courses for enrollment and revenue, mediated student-faculty disputes. Created and co-chaired a committee of senior literature instructors to review literature offerings and restructure the literature section of the New School Bulletin. Participated in appointment of New School Bachelor of Arts Program core faculty. Sat on University Liberal Arts Planning Committee. March 2003-2004; 2000-01.

Acting Director of The New School Bachelor of Arts Program
Directed an adult undergraduate liberal arts program of over 400 students. Supervised program staff, including nine part-time core faculty. Developed and implemented department policies and student services. Worked closely with department chairs on curriculum development and recruitment and training of core faculty. Supervised department budget and allocation of student financial aid. Led informational sessions on program features and monthly recruitment open houses for prospective students. Sat on University and divisional committees on student services, curriculum development, and senior staff searches. 1998-99.

Assistant Director of The New School Bachelor of Arts Program
Responsible for the administration and daily operation of the program office. Coordinated advising and registration; developed, maintained, and verified confidential student records; prepared statistical reports. Arranged and participated in informational sessions on program features and monthly recruitment open houses. Worked closely with Director on curriculum development. Assisted in recruitment and training of part-time core faculty. Served as liaison with University student services offices; sat on University Committee on Student Services. 1997-98. Assistant to the Director of The New School Bachelor of Arts Program. 1995-97.

 
New School Dean’s Office. Consultant to the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. Developed and implemented the division’s first orientation for new faculty, and revised the faculty handbook. Fall 2001, Summer 2000.
